-Good photography can elevate any video film or music video to another level. This is the belief of emerging photography director Gurmej Singh, who has been active in the world of music videos and short films for several years.
Hailing from Pachmoda village under Nanak Matta post in district Udham Singh Nagar , Uttarakhand, young cameraman Gurmej Singh revealed during a meeting in Chandigarh that his passion for photography began in childhood. Initially, he used to take still photographs with a small camera. Over time, this hobby turned into an obsession.

Born in July 1996, Gurmej Singh completed his higher secondary education from a government school in his area. With the support and blessings of his father, Bhagat Singh, and mother, Prem Kaur, he decided to establish himself in Punjabi music.
The soft-spoken young photography director disclosed that he has also worked with several producers and directors in Uttarakhand. He has showcased his artistic skills in video films based on traditional folk songs of the region.
Talented cinematographer Gurmej Singh has made a name for himself not only in regional music but also in the Punjabi music industry. He has worked as a cameraman for famous singer Liyakat Ali’s music video Academy, R jaani’s video track Raid, singer Goldy Shelly’s solo track Desire, and singer Poonam’s video song Pagal.
Gurmej Singh continues to strive for excellence in cinematography, aiming to create a unique identity in the field.
