Mohali, December 20, 2025: The stage resonated with music, emotions and the infectious enthusiasm of tiny performers as Small Wonders School successfully organised the Annual Musical Munchkins 2025–26. The event, based on the theme ‘Resilient Rhythms – A Tribute to the Golden Voices’, was held at the school’s Open Air Theatre.
The specially curated musical extravaganza paid a heartfelt tribute to legendary singers whose voices have influenced generations and whose lives stand as symbols of courage, struggle and unwavering dedication to music. Through their captivating performances, the little Wonderites not only honoured timeless melodies but also brought to life the unseen struggles of artists that often remain hidden from the world.
The programme commenced with a prayer and welcome song, filling the atmosphere with devotion and joy. The curtain-raiser presentation on Resilient Rhythms powerfully conveyed the core spirit of the event. Tiny students from LKG and UKG confidently took to the stage and enthralled the audience with tribute performances dedicated to globally acclaimed icons such as Selena Gomez, Alka Yagnik and Celine Dion.
Special performances by Small Wonders students, the dance groups’ presentation of ‘Dance of Hope’, and cheerful Christmas-themed performances added vibrancy to the event and spread a joyous message welcoming the New Year.
Speaking on the occasion, Small Wonders School Principal Herdip K. Nama said that such platforms empower children by nurturing confidence, creativity and emotional expression. She added that music and the arts play a vital role in shaping children’s personalities. Emphasising her belief in taking steady and strong steps towards good health, positive thinking and staying motivated even in the face of challenges, she noted that such programmes help inculcate values of sensitivity, compassion and resilience among children.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. Musical Munchkins emerged as a memorable celebration of music, emotions and the talent of young performers, where small voices delivered deep and inspiring messages.
