-Chandigarh/ Ludhiana January 9, 2025: The Harvest Season is celebrated with great fervor across India, known by various names such as Makar Sankranti in Bengal, Pongal in the South, and Lohri, Bihu, or Baisakhi in other regions. While traditions and names may differ, the joy of preparing festive desserts and dishes unites everyone in celebrating the season’s bounty. While our mothers have long recommended almonds for their nutritional value and overall well-being, science supports their benefits as well. Over 200 scientific studies highlight the extensive health advantages of almonds. Rich in vitamin E, iron, magnesium, fiber, protein, and zinc, almonds support heart health, blood sugar control, weight management, and overall wellness. They also help boost immunity. By making smarter food choices and adding a handful of almonds to the celebrations, it’s possible to enjoy the festivities while staying aligned with health goals.”

Fitness Master and Pilates Instructor Yasmin Karachiwala, said, “Staying active during the festive season is just as crucial as making mindful food choices. Whether it’s a quick workout or a walk, incorporating movement helps balance indulgences. For muscle recovery and sustained energy, I recommend snacking on natural foods like almonds. South Indian actress Shriya Saran, said, “Pongal is a time of immense joy and celebration in the South, where we come together to make rangolis, exchange gifts, and enjoy a feast of delicious foods and sweets over four days. As someone whose profession requires to stay fit, I prioritize making healthier choices, even during festive times. Year after year, I make sure that the Pongal prepared during the harvest season includes nourishing ingredients like almonds, allowing us to celebrate without compromising our health. Packed with essential nutrients, almonds have been a part of my diet since childhood, a healthy habit my mother instilled in me.
