SONIPAT : AITMC Trust, a non-profit organization that aims to enhance Industry-Academia-Startup Collaboration in India, has partnered with Puran Murti Educational Society (PM College) Sonipat, a leading institute in technological education, to establish a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Drone Technology Education. AITMC has onboarded its industry partner, AVPL, a leading agri training, overseas placements, and drone manufacturing company, to set up the CoE. This collaboration aims to empower individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), focusing on drone technicians and farmer (kisan) drone operators. The CoE is scheduled to commence its courses in July 2023 and aims to train 536 students, of which 136 will be trained as Drone technicians and 400 as Kisaan Drone Operators.
Commenting on the partnership, Deep Sisai, Chairman, AITMC said that we are thrilled to partner with PM College Sonipat to establish the Centre of Excellence for Drone Technology Education with the support of AVPL Drones. This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and providing skill development opportunities for the youth of Bharat. Through this initiative, we aim to equip individuals with the necessary skills in UAV technology, bridge the skills gap in the drone industry, and support farmers by enhancing their agricultural productivity through drone technology.”
The CoE will be equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including specialized training labs, advanced simulation software, and a dedicated fleet of drones for practical training. Industry experts have meticulously designed the curriculum to ensure a comprehensive learning experience for students. The courses offered at the CoE will provide aspiring professionals with the theoretical foundation and practical expertise required to excel in the rapidly expanding field of drone technology.
