Ropar, 18 November 2025: The 108 Ambulance Service, Operated by Zenplus Private Limited continues to reaffirm its unwavering commitment to saving lives and delivering timely emergency medical support across Punjab. In the Ropar district alone, the service assisted 6,133 citizens between November 2024 and October 2025, ensuring that emergency medical care reached people at the most critical moments.
Throughout the year, the 108 emergency teams responded to a diverse range of cases with dedication and urgency. Out of the total cases attended, 2,427 were medical emergencies, where immediate intervention was crucial to safeguard lives. The service also played a pivotal role in supporting mothers and infants, with 1,260 pregnancy-related cases successfully transported to healthcare facilities, ensuring safe and timely medical attention. Road safety remained another major priority, reflected in the ambulance teams assisting 1,001 road accident victims during the year. Additionally, 969 cardiac emergency cases were handled with rapid stabilisation and critical prehospital care. Apart from these major categories, 476 other emergency cases were managed with the same level of commitment and professionalism. The expertise of field teams further stands out with 10 safe deliveries conducted inside ambulances, demonstrating exceptional preparedness during high-risk situations where every second mattered.
The service has continued to demonstrate its dedication beyond routine emergency calls. During the 350th Shaheedi Diwas at Sri Anadpur Sahib a total of 27 ambulances, including 19 BLS and 8 ALS were specially deputed to ensure medical safety and preparedness, reflecting the proactive approach of 108 to protect the wellbeing of citizens during large public gatherings.
What stands out is not just the volume of cases handled but the consistency, dedication and compassion demonstrated by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and pilots across the district. Whether late at night, in extreme weather or in remote locations, 108 teams continued to operate with the same sense of urgency and responsibility, reinforcing the service’s mission that every emergency call deserves an immediate and professional response.
