Ludhiana, February 11, 2025: The Eastern Park(TEP), an award winning and RERA approved residential development spread over eight acres in Ludhiana’s outskirts on Chandigarh Road at East City, Ludhiana, has positioned itself as a premier eco-friendly affordable housing project. “We envisage 1000 happy families living in TEP’s first phase & phase 2 will be launched soon,” said Balraj Garg, Chairman, The Eastern Park, in a media statement.

TEP is all set to redefine the benchmarks in pollution free & sustainable living near the highly polluted city of Ludhiana.
“There is evidence which suggests that the way a building is designed can affect the health of its occupants. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), lung and respiratory diseases associated with poor indoor environment quality are 3 of the top 5 leading causes of death,” said Balraj Garg adding further to his press statement.
Balraj Garg who has 35-years of rich experience in the real estate industry in continuation of his statement said, “To counter these issues our green building features such as improved lighting, better air quality and greenery, will have a positive impact on residents’ wellbeing. TEP will give a boost to the idea of green and clean affordable housing in the region.”
Meanwhile, three young & dynamic TEP Directors – Gaurav Garg, Vidhu Mangal Singla and Nitin Garg held a press meet to unveil TEP’s unique ‘green features’.
Gaurav Garg said, “Ludhiana city records PM2.5 levels exceeding 200 µg/m³, far above the WHO’s safe limit of 15 µg/m³. In this scenario our housing project offers a beacon of hope for the denizens of Ludhiana.”
Vidhu Mangal Singla explained how TEP aims to provide pollution free – high quality living to residents, “TEP has been created as a well-planned eco-friendly housing initiative, replete with state-of-the-art facilities encompassing solar power, rainwater harvesting, waste management, and extensive green cover. All of these will act as a pollution sink, improving air quality & reducing carbon footprint.”
Nitin Garg, shared details about the key eco-friendly features of the project, “Over 20 per cent of the site is dedicated to green areas. There are electric vehicle charging stations, promoting sustainable mobility in addition to 100 per cent rainwater harvesting for landscaping and domestic use.”
Nitin added, “We have used high Solar Reflective Index (SRI) paint on roofs, which reduces heat absorption & keep interiors cool; our water-efficient fixtures, save 20-30 percent of water; solar panels power common areas; organic waste converter machine, ensures effective waste management; and there’s an on-site sewage treatment plant (STP) for wastewater recycling.”
Gaurav Garg further said, “TEP has a 1.5-acre central park with a 132 feet x 500 feet green space. Air-recirculation systems on each floor promise fresh, clean air.”
TEP has applied to the Indian Green Building Council(IGBC) & is expecting a Gold Rating in keeping with its steadfast adherence to IGBC’s norms.
TEP offers easy access to schools, hospitals, malls, and highways and is just a 20 min drive from Ludhiana city. It has a 3-tier security system with mobile-based visitor control. The project is disabled friendly & domestic gas supply in flats is through pipelines. Fresh water supply is provided from a 1000 feet deep bore-well to ensure clean water & there are rainwater harvesting wells to prevent water logging in monsoons.
