Chandigarh, December 29, 2025: Keeping the year end festivities in focus, the International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI), a leading voice for the Indian Premium Alcoholic Beverage Industry and a strong proponent of responsible consumption, has announced the rollout of its ‘Never Drink and Drive’ (NDAD) campaign in Chandigarh.
Speaking on the campaign, Sanjit Padhi, CEO, ISWAI, said, “At ISWAI, we invest in public education, promoting moderation and responsible alcohol consumption. The ‘Never Drink and Drive’ campaign reinforces our commitment to fostering a responsible drinking culture, enhancing public awareness on road safety, and ultimately protecting precious lives.”
To strengthen the outreach, ISWAI is amplifying its social messaging through radio stations during peak listening hours, particularly during the year-end festive period. Dedicated radio spots and RJ mentions will reinforce the core message of responsible celebration and zero tolerance for drunk driving. Additionally, a digital campaign is being rolled out to ensure continuous visibility and reinforce the message of responsible celebration.
Parvinder Singh, Regional Director, ISWAI, said, “The ‘Never Drink and Drive’ campaign seeks to educate citizens on the dangers of drunk driving, encourage responsible road behaviour, and underscore that driving under the influence is both illegal and life-threatening.”
With one of the highest vehicle-to-population ratios in the country and substantial daily interstate traffic from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, it requires a strong and sustained focus on road safety. This makes the city a crucial location for reinforcing the ‘Never Drink and Drive’ message. This initiative by ISWAI underscores the urgent need for creating awareness, educating people, and bringing a behavioural change, to address public safety concerns
