-Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (HBCH&RC), Punjab has achieved a significant milestone with its medical laboratories receiving accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). This prestigious recognition affirms the hospital’s commitment in delivering accurate, reliable, and high-quality diagnostic services.
The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab, has been awarded NABL accreditation in the following six disciplines: Microbiology, Histopathology, Cytology, Hematology, Clinical Biochemistry & Clinical Pathology, covering a total 127 investigations under NABL accreditation.
The NABL accreditation, in accordance with ISO 15189:2022 standards, underscores medical laboratories adherence to global benchmarks in quality and competence. It reflects HBCH&RC’s commitment to patient care, scientific integrity, and continuous improvement in diagnostic services.

This accreditation will further enhance the trust and confidence of patients and referring physicians in the diagnostic services offered at HBCH&RC, Punjab. It also positions the hospital as a leading center for cancer care in the region.
The HBCH&RC, Punjab established under the aegis of Tata Memorial Centre, an aided institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 24, 2022. The hospital is a leading institution in cancer treatment and research in the region and has been at the forefront of providing high-quality and affordable care to patients.
