Ludhiana, 25 September 2026: EEPC India, the apex body for engineering exports under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, today organised a roadshow on “Integrating Micro Mobility Ecosystem” in Ludhiana. The session served as a curtain-raiser for the 2nd India Cycle Show 2027, which will be held from 4 to 9 February 2027 at Hall 4, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, as part of the 3rd Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) 2027.
The roadshow drew over 100 participants, including bicycle and component manufacturers, MSME exporters, senior government officials, industry associations, academia and international partners. Ludhiana, India’s bicycle manufacturing heartland, provided a fitting setting for the event, with the cluster producing approximately 40,000 to 50,000 bicycles every day.

The next phase of growth must combine this scale with innovation, technology, sustainability and a stronger global orientation. Through the India Cycle Show 2027, our endeavour is to create a common platform where manufacturers, MSMEs, policymakers, technology providers, buyers and global partners can come together to unlock new opportunities for the sector.”
The session focused on the industry’s next phase of growth, with discussions spanning global bicycle supply chains and exports, international collaborations, e-mobility, accessories and safety infrastructure, technology and quality compliance, smart manufacturing, and knowledge exchange in urban planning and micromobility design. The programme also highlighted the requirements of athletes and everyday cyclists and how these can inform future product development by Indian manufacturers.
India produces more than 22 million bicycles annually, supported by a deep ecosystem of manufacturers, component suppliers and MSMEs. Discussions at the roadshow highlighted the opportunity to leverage this manufacturing scale for greater value addition, technological advancement and a stronger presence in international markets. India currently has a small share in global cycle exports by value, indicating significant potential to expand its global footprint. India Cycle Show 2027: Taking Indian capabilities to the world
The India Cycle Show 2027 will bring the entire bicycle and micromobility value chain under one roof, spanning complete bicycles, parts and components, cycling accessories and fitness solutions, electric mobility, and micromobility infrastructure and solutions.
Supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, and organised by EEPC India, the show is envisioned as a 360-degree platform connecting manufacturers, innovators, solution providers, buyers, policymakers, dealers, riders and other stakeholders across the cycling ecosystem.
The 2027 edition will feature next-generation bicycles and micromobility solutions, industry and dealer engagement, innovations and product launches, B2B and B2C displays, sustainable and urban mobility solutions, knowledge sessions, a custom bike showcase and a proposed Cyclathon with the Ministry of Sports.
The first edition of the India Cycle Show in 2025 featured 50+ exhibitors, more than five product launches and global industry participation, alongside initiatives focused on sustainable mobility, micromobility infrastructure and cycling culture.
Building on this foundation, India Cycle Show 2027 aims to enable Indian manufacturers and MSMEs to showcase innovation, access new markets, forge strategic partnerships, engage with global buyers and strengthen India’s position in the international bicycle and micromobility value chain.
