Chandigarh, March 22, 2026: The General Body Meeting of the SC/ST SBI Employees Association (SAVA) was organized in Sector 43. On this occasion, the association also hosted a grand retirement felicitation ceremony.
Around 300 members participated in the program, including officials ranging from sub-staff to senior management. The strong turnout reflected unity and commitment within the organization.
During the General Body Meeting, several important issues concerning SC/ST employees were discussed in detail. It was unanimously decided that all matters would be pursued through appropriate legal and constitutional forums.

SAVA General Secretary Brij Lal elaborated on the key issues in his address and addressed members’ queries. He emphasized the importance of unity, awareness, and collective strength. He also assured that SAVA would continue coordinating with other unions and organizations to work on common industrial issues and would safeguard the interests and rights of the SC/ST community without compromise.
On this occasion, a grand retirement felicitation ceremony was organized in honor of Darshan Singh Parocha, Chief Coordinator of SAVA, and Sulekh Chand, CEC Member, in recognition of their invaluable contributions and dedicated services.
In his address, Darshan Singh Parocha expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants and reiterated his and his team’s continued support and commitment to SAVA. He shared that his core group had already taken membership of SAVA and had been actively contributing to its activities for nearly a year.
The event was also graced by the presence of several senior leaders and office bearers, including Prem Singh (Senior Vice President), Nishan Lal, Tikka Ram, Karam Chand, Amarjeet Singh, Harvinder Kaur, Reena, Rekha Sayal, Kamaljeet Kaur, B.K. Suman, Vikesh Kumar, and Gopal Bhatti, along with other distinguished office bearers and members.
