The National Medical Commission’s (NMC) recent revision of the NEET UG 2024 syllabus has sparked a mix of anticipation and concern among aspiring medical students. To help candidates navigate these changes with confidence, Aakash BYJU’S – India’s leading provider of test preparation services – has unveiled a comprehensive guide.

Mr. Nabin Kaarki, National Academic Director – Medical at Aakash BYJU’S stressed the need to address students’ apprehensions amidst the evolving NEET UG 2024 syllabus. He emphasized that candidates must adopt a strategic approach that combines resource gathering with focused practice to succeed in this transformed landscape.

The revamped syllabus introduces notable alterations across various subjects:

Physics:

  • Class XII sees only one new addition – “Experimental Skills” – with no deletions.
  • In Class XI, “Physical World” has been removed without any new topics added.

Chemistry:

  • Class XII now includes “Principles Related to Practical Chemistry,” but several topics such as “The Solid State,” “Surface Chemistry,” “General Principles & Processes of Isolation of Elements,” “Polymers,” and “Chemistry in Everyday Life” have been deleted.
  • In Class XI, there are no new topics added; however, “States of Matter: Gases & Liquids,” “Hydrogen,” “The S-Block Elements,” and “Environmental Chemistry” have been removed.

Botany:

  • Class XII introduces a new chapter – “Biodiversity and Conservation (Sacred Groves)” – while chapters like “Reproduction in Organisms,” “Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production,” and “Environmental Issues” have been excluded.
  • In Class XI, new inclusion is the chapter on “Morphology of Flowering Plants” (Malvaceae, Cruciferae, Leguminosae, Compositae, Gramineae), whereas the topics on “Transport in Plants” and “Mineral Nutrition” have been removed.

Zoology:

  • In Class XII, no new topics are added; however, deletions include “Reproduction in Organisms” and “Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production – Animal Husbandry.”
  • In Class XI, a new inclusion is the chapter on “Structural Organisation in Animals – Animal Morphology (Frog),” while the topic on “Digestion and Absorption” has been removed.

For NEET aspirants navigating the revised syllabus, Aakash BYJU’S offers valuable guidance. It’s important to acknowledge that reduced content does not diminish competition. Key strategies include:

  1. Collecting study materials for new topics from trusted sources.
  2. Utilizing both old and new NCERT books.
  3. Engaging in rigorous practice by solving ample questions.
  4. Embracing experimental learning for deep comprehension.
  5. Maintaining relevance by understanding omitted topics within chapters.

Above all else, unwavering dedication to a consistent study routine remains imperative for success amidst these changes.

In conclusion, with expert guidance from Aakash BYJU’S and strategic insights into the revised NEET UG 2024 syllabus, aspiring medical students can approach their preparation with confidence. By adopting effective study techniques and embracing changes proactively, candidates can position themselves for success in the upcoming exam.
