Basketball: Vivek High School Emerges Champion in Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Trophy 2025

Chandigarh, November 7, 2025: Some thrilling encounters were witnessed on Thursday, the third day of the 11th Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy for boys and girls (u-17) being played at Sector-42 Sports Complex. It was the day for Vivek High School, Chandigarh and Mohali players as they won all matches of Boys Under-10, boys U-12, boys U-17 and girls under -17 categories.

The players displayed exceptional skill, agility, and passion on the court, thrilling the spectators. The energy and competitiveness were at their peak in every match, creating an atmosphere completely infused with the passion for basketball.

The results of the matches on the third day are as follows:

In a closely contested Boys Under-10 match, Vivek High School, Chandigarh defeated Manav Rachna School 8-6. Abhir Pratap of Vivek High School gave a stellar performance, scoring 4 points, while Rabnoor scored 6 points for Manav Rachna. In the Girls’ match of the same age group, Learning Paths School (LPS) defeated Saupin’s School, Chandigarh 14-9. Chahat of the winning team gave an excellent performance, scoring 10 points, while Aarna scored 7 points for Saupins.

In the Boys Under-17 category, Vivek High School, Mohali defeated Ryan International School, Chandigarh 44-20. Aditya of Vivek High School, Mohali played a powerful game, scoring 18 points, while Paras scored 12 points for the opposing team. In another match in the same category, Ryan International School, Chandigarh defeated DPS, Chandigarh 33-12. Paras of the winning team gave a brilliant performance, scoring 10 points and playing a crucial role in the team’s victory. Kairav scored 4 points for DPS. In the Girls Under-17 category, Vivek High School, Mohali defeated The Tribune School in a one-sided match by a score of 22-0. Navna of the winning team gave an excellent performance, scoring 10 points. In another match in the same category, Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh defeated YPS, Mohali 38-19. Samaya of the winning team played brilliantly, scoring 19 points, while Avantika scored 6 points for the opposing team.

In the Boys Under-12 category, Vivek High School, Chandigarh defeated Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh in a thrilling match by a score of 8-7. Fatehbir of Vivek High scored 4 points, while Angad scored 3 points for Strawberry Fields.

In the Girls Under-14 category, DPS School, Chandigarh defeated Amity International School, Mohali 10-4. Anupriya of the winning team scored 8 points in this match, while Samaira scored 4 points for the other team. In the Boys’ category of the same age group, Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh defeated LPS, Mohali 43-24. Riansh of the winning team scored 22 points, while Karanveer scored 5 points for the other team.
