World witnessed an appallingly unpleasant scene – Mrs SriLanka 2021

The question now arises in which capacity did Mrs Jury Rip her Crown off her head & placed it on the head of 1st Runner Up. Was she on the penal of Judges? What prompted her to make such a nasty move. What were the Organizers doing. Were they sleeping when the incident under reference took place. Interestingly, Chandimal Jayasinghe,an influential figure in the modelling circles, is the National Director of Mrs Sri lanka pageant, who had reportedly helped Mrs Jury to reach Las Vegas to participate in the ‘Mrs World 2020’ Pageant in December 2019.The burning question still remains to be answered. Was it born out of professional jealousy or Mrs Jurie wanted some one else to wear the Crown when she took to the stage and said

“As for the Mrs World Inc, there’s a rule that you’ll have to be married, and not divorced. So, I’m taking my first step saying that the crown goes to the first runner-up.”

Reacting to the sad happening ,Mrs World Inc organizers said “We are deeply disturbed and sincerely regret the behaviour of our current title holder, Mrs Caroline Jurie, Mrs World 2020, at the crowning,” adding the director of the Mrs Sri Lanka pageant will be asking Jurie to apologize.”Let it be known, Mrs World Inc does not sit in moral judgment,” the statement added. “If the delegate sent by Mrs Sri Lanka-World to compete in the international competition is legally married she will be accepted.” In the past, too, there have been many instances where winners have been dethroned or contestants have been disqualified after organisers found out they had lied.

The pleasant part of this sad incident is that the Crown has since been returned to Mrs De Silva, after pageant organizers’ confirmed she is not a divorcee. Mrs Jurie not only sullied her reputation with her unwarranted action but also put the 1st ‘Runner Up’ to disgrace.
