Chandigarh, November 6, 2025: The Trident Group and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) are proud to announce the launch of the Trident Open, a premier golfing event set to make its debut at the prestigious Chandigarh Golf Club from November 11th to 14th, 2025.
The official launch will take place at a press conference to be held at the Chandigarh Golf Club on Saturday, November 8th at 11:00 am. The event will be graced by distinguished dignitaries including Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus, Trident Group, Mr. Amandeep Johl, CEO, PGTI, leading Indian professionals Yuvraj Sandhu and Angad Cheema, as well as Mr. Ravibir Singh, President, Chandigarh Golf Club, and Mr. Mohanbir Singh, Captain, Chandigarh Golf Club.
The INR 1 crore tournament will witness a 126-player field featuring top Indian and international golfers, cementing its place as a significant addition to India’s professional golf calendar.
Leading Indian professionals in the field include Yuvraj Sandhu, Arjun Prasad, Shaurya Bhattacharya, Angad Cheema, Om Prakash Chouhan, and Manu Gandas, among others. The international contingent features 16 foreign professionals representing six countries — the USA, Italy, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Uganda.
The week of the Trident Open will commence with the Am-Am event on November 8th and the Pro-Am on November 9th, providing a platform for amateur golfers to engage with top professionals in a competitive yet friendly format.
