Panchkula, October 11, 2025 – In a powerful display of patriotism and community spirit, the Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Government College for Women (Sector 14), Muktinath Ved Vidyashram (Sanskrit Gurukul), and the Mansa Devi Pooja Sthal Board Campus, organized a large-scale ‘Swadeshi Adoption Awareness Campaign’ to promote the use of indigenous products and inspire national self-reliance.
The highlight of the campaign was a spirited walkathon involving students, teachers, and local citizens. The walk was flagged off by Amitabh Rungta, prominent social activist and founder of the Purushottam Das Rungta Charitable Trust. Amitabh Rungta was joined by Anupama Rungta, Babu Mahendra Ji (Dharma Jagran State Head), Suresh Goyal, Surendra Singla, Benu Rao, Rajiv Ji, Acharya Gurukul Swami Prasad Mishra, Dr. Pooja Chauhan, Prof. Ritu Yadav, Dr. Alka Sharma and Shivani Kaushik in the flagging off of the rally. Echoing with chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, the procession energized the community while spreading awareness about the importance of embracing Swadeshi products in everyday life.
“Adopting Swadeshi is essential to fulfilling the dream of a self-reliant India,” said Amitabh Rungta during the event. “Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens to reduce dependence on imports and adopt Indian-made goods. This campaign is a step towards making people aware of their responsibilities toward the nation. Through this awareness walk, students conveyed a strong message encouraging citizens to embrace Swadeshi and contribute to building an ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’,” added Rungta,
More than 400 participants took part in the campaign, showcasing collective enthusiasm and commitment to India’s economic and cultural independence. The 4-kilometer walk began and concluded at the Government College for Women, Sector 14.
The campaign was especially notable for the active involvement of girls and students from the Gurukul, symbolizing the rising role of youth and women in shaping the nation’s future. Their participation underscored the importance of instilling a spirit of nationalism, cultural pride, and economic responsibility from a young age.
Amitabh Rungta further said,“This initiative not only promotes the Swadeshi movement but also strengthens the cultural and spiritual fabric of our society. It is crucial that the youth understand the value of self-reliance, Indian heritage, and national service.”
